GfK confirms that zur Mühlen Group is the clear market leader for self-service sausage

In its annual analysis for 2008, the GfK (Society for Consumer Research) in Nuremberg confirmed that the zur Mühlen Group is the undisputed market leader in the self-service sausage and canned meat market.
The zur Mühlen Group was able to achieve a 5.1 % increase in the quantities sold of its brands Böklunder, Könecke, Redlefsen and Schulte thereby further consolidating its leading position. The GfK has established that the self-service sausage market in Germany in 2008 totalled almost six billion EUR which equals 900,000 tonnes of produce. The zur Mühlen Group currently holds a calculated quantity-based market percentage of 22 % and a value-based market share of 10 percent, taking into account all its production facilities within Germany.
