Awards with occupational safety seal of approval for zur Mühlen Group production sites
In 2010 the Meat Trade Association (FBG) successfully awarded the “Sicher mit System” (Systematic Safety) seal of approval to four of the seven plants of the zur Mühlen Group. Further locations are currently still being under review. The distinctions are expected to be awarded in 2011.
Böklunder Plumrose GmbH & Co. KG in Böklund already received the award in November 2009. An anniversary event took place in Dissen am Teutoburger Wald. The 50th occupational safety seal of approval from the FBG was presented to the manufacturers of raw sausage specialities, SCHULTE Fleisch- und Wurstwaren GmbH, on 30.11.2010. The two other distinctions were awarded to the factories of Könecke Fleischwarenfabrik in Bremen and Delmenhorst in December 2010.
This was preceded by the successful auditing of the occupational safety management systems of the manufacturer of salami, boiled and cooked sausage, ham and sausages. In addition to the review of the corresponding documents, during numerous interviews and an extensive site inspection, the auditors determined whether the management and employees had fully internalised the importance of occupational safety.
Managing Director Gerhard Neukum commented on these distinctions: “Our aspirations are determined not only by top performance in quality and technology, but also by the health and motivation of our employees, as a prerequisite for the running of a successful business.”
